All-county Small Business Fair on March 1
The public is invited to the all-county Small Business Fair to be held on Saturday, March 1st from 1pm – 3:30pm at the McCall-Donnelly High School multipurpose room.
The fair, sponsored by the Valley Economic Development Council, is part of an ongoing attempt to encourage local business innovation and offer support to new entrepreneurs. It is the final event of the “New Business Contest” which was introduced last fall with free classes in writing a business plan to help potential contestants. The contest closed this January and results will be announced at the fair.
The fair will also feature some of the diversity of goods and services offered by local businesses as well as a forum where new business owners talk about the challenges and inspirations of starting a business in the valley. Contestants from the “New Business Contest” will promote their ideas and awards will be presented. Refreshments will be served.
Anyone interested in creating a business or anyone who understands how important it is to support the local economy and keep our buying power and investing power as close to home as possible should make it a point to attend the fair. The event is supported by the cities of Donnelly, Cascade and McCall, Valley County, Better Neighborhoods, Lionworks LLC, Idaho Power, the Star News, the McCall Farmer’s Market, Tamarack, and the U of I Extension. Any business that would like to feature its products or services at the fair should call (208) 630-4620 for information.
